The More Color They Have The More Antioxidants

There is an email going around that has a list of all these super foods that resemble what they are trying to protect. In other words, a carrot is great for eye sight. If you cut a carrot in half, and look at the inside, it actually looks like an eye - the very thing it helps.  God is no dummy. His plans are better than ours and His ways higher than ours. I think there is more to this story than we even know...

Blueberries are a top choice in the Super food column by nutritionists and doctors and are packed with antioxidants and phytoflavinoids, these berries are also high in potassium and vitamin C. Not only can they lower your risk of heart disease and cancer, they are also anti-inflammatory (which is a huge issue driving force behind chronic diseases). Frozen are just as good as fresh but more important, remember that the more color they have, the more antioxidants. Blueberries are also great for your complexion, your skin, yet another benefit!

Omega 3-Rich Fish unlock health for the Heart, Joints, and Memory.  Omega-3s are most prevalent in fatty, cold-water fish: Look for wild (not farmed) salmon, herring, sardines, and mackerel.  But what if I hate fish? Other forms of omega 3s are available in fortified eggs, flax seed, and walnuts. Another thing to note: these super foods have the added benefit of being high in monounsaturated fats, which can lower cholesterol.

Of course this are just two sources of super foods that can make a huge impact in your health.  If you aren't getting in your blueberries, get in some berries.  If you aren't eating fish 2-3 times per week, get some milled flax in your oatmeal, smoothies, salads or yogurt. It's almost tasteless.
